Extension Work (Homework)

We believe that extension work forms an important part of students’ learning. Subject teachers will set a variety of extension work, outlined in the table below.

Students should ensure that they meet deadlines as set by teachers and are expected to take an increased responsibility for their own learning, including extension work, as they move through the Academy. Most extension work is set by using ‘Go4Schools’ which allows parents and carers to keep up to date with what has been set.

It is helpful if parents and carers can provide a quiet working place at home and a routine each day to allow time for extension work. Please support your child in completing extension work tasks to a high standard, check Go4Schools and discuss any extension work with them.
