National Reading Champions Quiz 

Students from Years 7 & 8 represented the Academy at the National Reading Champions Quiz. This virtual event, organised by the National Literacy Trust, aims to promote and celebrate reading for pleasure and give a space for those students who love books to use and share their knowledge with their peers. Taking part in the first cross-regional heat against 24 other teams from across the country, Aiden, Khloe, Isaac and Sophie demonstrated great teamwork. Over the course of the morning they worked together to answer 80 questions in categories ranging from Dystopian & Science Fiction and Pets to Heroes & Heroines and Brainteasers! Our team came a creditable joint 19th but, most importantly, had a great time taking part.
