Presentation Evening

Posted on 5th Dec 2022

For the first time since 2019, we were able to hold the Academy Presentation Evening, to celebrate the successes of main school students during the previous academic year.

It was heartening to see the Hall full of so many students and families after such a long period of time. Students from Years 7-10 were presented with PRIDE Awards, awarded to the students achieving the highest number of points in the Participation, Respect, Independence, Determination and Excellence categories. One student from each Year Group was also presented with the Executive Principal’s Award for Progress. Also awarded were the Junior Prefect of the Year Award, the Simon Gant Award (for the best athlete in Years 7-10) and the first set of Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award certificates, following the re-introduction of the Award scheme during 2021-2022.

Jonathan Taylor, CEO of the Sapientia Education Trust, gave an inspirational speech to the audience, having prioritised this event over dinner at the House of Lords! Year 11 students were then presented with an array of Subject Awards by Jonathan, followed by the distribution of the GCSE certificates, presented by the Chair of Governors, Frances Harrod.

The evening concluded with a thoughtful and dynamic speech by Head Girl, Lily Perkins, followed by seasonal refreshments.

An amazing evening celebrating many successes.
