Transition

Welcome to Attleborough Academy! In these strange times, this is where we will post all of the latest information about Year 6 to Year 7 Transition 2020.

My name is Mrs Cushing and I am the teacher in charge of transition at Attleborough Academy.

During this lockdown period, this is the page we will update to inform you of forms that need filling in, as well as the transition activities that would normally have taken place during the passport days at the academy. Please check back here from time to time to see updates.

If you have not yet heard from us, we have been sent incorrect contact details for you so in this case, please email office@aan.norfolk.sch.uk to make us aware.

Welcome and Student Q&A

In the video below, Mrs. Cushing provides an overview of how transition 2020 will happen and some key dates for the transition student challenges, and administration to ensure a smooth transition. There is also a short Question and Answer session from a group of Year 7 and 8 students, answering commonly asked student questions.

Transition Forms

Below, you will find all of the required ‘Transition’ documents that were sent out to you on the 16/6/2020. Please return them to the Academy Office (we do this socially distanced, without contact) or by mail by the 1st of July.

Where possible please use the version below of  ‘Consent form for taking and using photos’ as there have been some updates.

In the video, Ms. Campbell-Horne explains what you need to do with each of the documents.

Please note, since this video was made and the welcome pack was sent to you, our uniform supplier for uniform will be Stevensons. Please view the uniform page for more details.

Introduction to the Welcome Pack

Please note, if you have older children at the Academy, the new Uniform Requirements will not apply to them, as the new uniform will be phased in over the next 5 years. They will be expected to wear the old uniform to the old uniform requirements. Please see the uniform page for more details.

Attleborough Academy is currently closed and only open for some Year 10 and some Year 12 students. If your child is expected to be in school, we will have contacted you directly. Please read our position on wider opening for more details. We are also maintaining the supervision of children of Key Workers. All other students will continue to have work set using ClassCharts and study from home. Any parent or carer who is a Key Worker and due to possible shift changes may require childcare provision can visit our Contact Us page for support. Please email queries to office@aan.norfolk.sch.uk.
