Michala Parks – Director of Student Support
Hi! I am Miss Parks and below are all of the member of our brilliant Student Support Team. The team are all very different, multi skilled and compliment each other really well. I am extremely proud to be part of this team. Our main priority is to help students to be happy, safe and flourish as young people in their education by supporting them, teachers and parents.
The Student Support Team want the best for all our students and will do what we can to support them in their education journey, it may be that support is needed with a learning need, attendance, behaviour, mental wellbeing, a listening ear, some guidance or advice. We are here to help and no question is too small.
Elliot Bloomfield – Student Behaviour Manager
I manage and co-ordinate the daily activities of the Behaviour Unit within the Student Support Team and help contribute to the development of other related pastoral initiatives in the Academy.
This will include the promotion of emotional wellbeing, good mental health, positive behaviour and high attendance among children and young people.
Claire Sadler – Assistant SEND Coordinator
Hi, I’m Ms Sadler and I am privileged to be part of the Student Support Team thanks to all students who come and see us. It is really important to me that students know they have someone to talk to or a place to be when they are in need of support or to share in their achievements.
My favourite place to be is the beach regardless of the time of year. I enjoy books by authors such as Sophie Kinsella and Cecelia Ahern. I am not very musical but I am trying to learn to play the keyboard and I like Escape rooms.
Isabelle Allott – Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Hi, I’m Mrs. Allott. I am originally from Switzerland but I have been living in Norfolk for over 20 years.
I love working with young people as each day is different and often full of surprises, and often feel that I learn as much from my students as they learn from me! I am passionate about travelling and hiking, my favourite movie is “It’s A Wonderful Life”, my favourite author is John Irving.
Shirley Linnitt – Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Hi I’m Ms Linnitt and I love being part of the Student Support Team and part of Attleborough Academy. We have the best students and it is an honour guiding and supporting them through their GCSE years.
I am a HLTA and a large part of my day is based in the classroom or in small group work, but outside of lesson time I am available, as everyone is, to help with any problems or if you just want to share some awesome news.
Anyone who knows me knows how much I love food, fitness and family… They also know that if talking was an Olympic sport I would be a gold medallist!
At Attleborough Academy we recognise we all have different strengths in different areas, none of us are the same and that’s why we make such an amazing team.
Michele Caddamy – Student Support Mentor
I have been working in education since 2000 and have been part of the Student Support Team from 2018 and absolutely love my job.
I work daily with some incredibly inspiring Young People and Colleagues and am very proud to be part of Attleborough Academy.
I am originally from Cornwall and absolutely love walking with my two dogs in my spare time exploring Norfolk.
Amanda Dysart – Student Support Mentor
Hi, I’m Mrs Dysart and my main role within the Student Support Team is the recording and monitoring of attendance, ensuring our students are safe and where they should be when in school.
I love going for long walks in the countryside, travelling and exploring new places.
Charlotte Fagg – Student Support Mentor
My name is Miss Fagg and I work in Student Support, and you will usually find me in the vulnerable area of the bridge. Sometimes school can feel overwhelming for lots of different reasons, and we are all hear to listen and help with any worries you might have. So if you’re upset or struggling, please come and find us because I very much believe that ‘a problem shared is a problem halved’.
I love to go on long walks and spend my spare time reading books and watching movies or series. So I always love a recommendation!
Shani Ricketts – Student Support Mentor
Hi there, I’m Mrs Ricketts. I live with my husband and we have two grown up children. In my spare time I enjoy renovating, restoring properties to their former glory or beyond to improve. I love baking, organising family get-togethers and getting my sewing machine out. I like spending time at home, homemaking, socialising and spending time in the garden. Just recently I have been breaking in a new horse and it has been so much fun to learn as this is all new to me. Some of you riders out there will think how silly but a learning curve for me! I haven’t been the best at keeping fit but I know how important it is so I am making an effort now. So you could say there are always things to do and keep me busy. I could go on but, I don’t want to bore you. If you know me you will know that I do chat quite a lot given the chance. And, of course in between I get to come and work and look after all you lovelies. You are really are all treasures and I love to get to know as many of you as I can and most of you make me laugh.
Katie Savage – Student Support Mentor
I have been working in education since 2009, first as primary school teacher and now as a mentor.
I mainly work with Looked After Children but also support students with interventions. I have a special interest in supporting students with literacy difficulties and dyslexia.
