Student Support Team

The Student Support Team (SST) provides a first point of call for parents and students.

The SST is a well established team of non-teaching pastoral staff, who do not have the constraints of a teaching timetable and are therefore free to respond to parent and student queries throughout the day. They offer support around Special Educational Needs (SEND), Emotional and Mental Health and resolve issues such as bullying and behaviour.

Please use the following links to find out more about the team and how they can support both you and your child.

Meet the Team

Michala Parks
Director of Student Support

Hi! I am Miss Parks and below are all of the member of our brilliant Student Support Team.  The team are all very different, multi skilled and compliment each other really well.  I am extremely proud to be part of this team.  Our main priority is to help students to be happy, safe and flourish as young people in their education by supporting them, teachers and parents.

The Student Support Team want the best for all our students and will do what we can to support them in their education journey, it may be that support is needed with a learning need, attendance, behaviour, mental wellbeing, a listening ear, some guidance or advice.  We are here to help and no question is too small.

Miss Charlotte Fagg
Senior Student Support Mentor

My name is Miss Fagg and I work in Student Support, and you will usually find me in the vulnerable area of the Bridge. Sometimes school can feel overwhelming for lots of different reasons, and we are all hear to listen and help with any worries you might have. So if you’re upset or struggling, please come and find us because I very much believe that ‘a problem shared is a problem halved’.

I love to go on long walks and spend my spare time reading books and watching movies or series. So I always love a recommendation!

Mrs Isabelle Allot
Student Support Mentor

Hi, I’m Mrs. Allott. I am originally from Switzerland but I have been living in Norfolk for over 20 years.

I love working with young people as each day is different and often full of surprises, and often feel that I learn as much from my students as they learn from me! I am passionate about travelling and hiking, my favourite movie is “It’s A Wonderful Life”, my favourite author is John Irving.

Ms Shirley Linnitt
Student Support Mentor (Sixth Form)

Hi I’m Ms Linnitt and I love being part of the Student Support Team and part of Attleborough Academy. We have the best students and it is an honour guiding and supporting them through their GCSE years.

I am a HLTA and a large part of my day is based in the classroom or in small group work, but outside of lesson time I am available, as everyone is, to help with any problems or if you just want to share some awesome news.

Anyone who knows me knows how much I love food, fitness and family… They also know that if talking was an Olympic sport I would be a gold medallist!

At Attleborough Academy we recognise we all have different strengths in different areas, none of us are the same and that’s why we make such an amazing team.
