Attleborough Academy is a popular, 11 to 18 Academy which is continually developing to meet the demands of providing the highest quality education for all students. The Academy joined the Sapientia Education Trust (SET) in June 2020 which was an exciting and important development for the school. Minbus Driver

SCALE 5-6 £12,164 to £12,604

We are looking to recruit to our existing team of Minibus Drivers to provide safe and reliable transport to and from the Academy. The successful candidate will be an important part of our Site Team.

As we see our student numbers increase year on year, we offer our own Minibus service to the parents of those students who live outside of our catchment and in the outlying areas. Reliable and committed Minibus Drivers are therefore are key to providing this daily service. The post offers a fulfilling opportunity to work responsibly with young people in the Academy.

The shift patterns available are as follows:

  • Morning shift (06.30 to 08.30)
  • Afternoon shift (15.00 to 18.00)
  • Both morning and afternoon shifts (as above)

There is flexibility for interested candidates to either work both morning and afternoon shifts or if preferred, only a morning or afternoon pattern. This can be discussed in full at interview.

Applicants for this post must hold a full pre-1997 driving licence with B/BE/C1/C1E/D1/D1E driving entitlements or if post-1997, have successfully passed additional tests to cover entitlements B/BE/C1/C1E/D1/D1E. Applicants must also be prepared to undertake and successfully pass the minibus driving assessments (organised and paid for by the Academy) prior to commencing employment.

We ask that applicants be enthusiastic and possess a calm, organised and approachable character which is seen as an essential part of the role. You must have a clear commitment to working with young people and be able to set clear guidelines for them.

Teacher of Science (Maternity Cover)


With effect from February 2022, we are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic, and inspirational Science teacher to cover a period of maternity leave.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and committed teacher to join a department that works collaboratively with other subject areas within our Science Faculty to enrich the learning and developmental experiences for all our students. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach at all Key Stages (KS3 to KS5).

Cleaning Operatives (Kindred)


Kindred, our cleaning contractors, are currently looking for part-time cleaners to join their team at the Academy. If you are interested in any of the following opportunities then please get in touch.

  • Day Janitor 
    11.00 to 15.00 (Monday to Friday)
  • Afternoon Cleaning Operatives
    16.00 to 18.00 (Monday to Friday)
  • Afternoon Cleaning Operatives
    16.00 to 19.00 (Monday to Friday)

Duties to include cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices and may involve some toilet cleaning. Experience is not essential as full training will be given. Uniform is provided along with holiday entitlement.

The post will be offered subject to enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance.
