Subject Leader of Physics

Main Pay Scale/Upper Pay Scale plus TLR2a (£2,873)

With effect from September 2022 (April 2022 if possible), we are seeking to appoint a dynamic and ambitious Subject Leader in Physics who can lead, inspire and motivate a team of dedicated and passionate teachers within our Science Department as well as leading the teaching of our A Level Physics.

This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to provide professional leadership and management of Physics in order to secure high quality teaching and the effective use of resources and improved standards of learning. The successful candidate will teach at all Key stages (from KS3 to KS5).

This position can be offered on a part-time basis (from 0.6 FTE to full time) for the right candidate.

Assistant Caretaker/Minibus Driver
SCP 5-6 (£19,312 to £19,698)
Full Time
37 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

We are currently seeking to recruit for an Assistant Caretaker/Minibus Driver to deliver a high quality customer service to all teaching and related support operations on the Academy site.

Working both as an individual and as part of a team, you will carry out a range of tasks to facilitate an ideal teaching and learning environment for our staff and students.

In the role of our Minibus Driver, you will provide safe and reliable transport in line with student educational requirements. Applicants for this post must hold a full pre-1997 driving licence with B/BE/C1/C1E/D1/D1E driving entitlements or if post-1997, have successfully passed additional tests to cover entitlements B/BE/C1/C1E/D1/D1E. Applicants must also be prepared to undertake and successfully pass the minibus driving assessments prior to employment.

We ask that applicants be enthusiastic and possess a calm, organised and approachable character which is seen as an essential part of the role. You must have a clear commitment to working with young people and be able to set clear guidelines for them. The post offers a fulfilling opportunity to work responsibly with young people in the Academy.

Minibus Driver
SCP 5-6 (£7,588 to £7,740 pro-rata salary)

17.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

We are currently recruiting for a Minibus Driver to provide safe and reliable transport in line with student educational requirements. Classroom Assistants x 2 (Student Specific)
SCP 5-6 (£14,154 to £14,693 pro-rata salary)
Term Time only
32.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

With effect from March 2022, earlier if possible, we are seeking to appoint two Classroom Assistants to join the Academy’s Student Support Team.

Both of these positions are linked to individual Year 7 students who will need help and support in lessons to be able to access their learning and make progress. As such, these roles are fixed term for the duration of the students' academic career at Attleborough Academy (Year 7 to Year 11 and possibly thereafter, Sixth Form).

The Student Support Team is a very close-knit and effective group of individuals who provide high quality and personalised care and support in the belief that this is key to student success and enjoyment during their time at the Academy.

The successful candidates will need to be flexible, resilient and hardworking and committed to the role. A natural empathy, caring nature and proven experience of working with vulnerable and challenging students is an advantage as such qualities are are essential requirements to work in this challenging but extremely rewarding position.
