Attleborough Academy is a popular, 11 to 18 Academy which is continually developing to meet the demands of providing the highest quality education for all students. Attleborough as a town is poised for major expansion and the Academy is the chosen secondary to have facilities developed as part of the Masterplan. In conjunction with Breckland District Council, extensive building and development work is taking place in areas such as our Sports Hall area to create a new Leisure Centre, a 3G pitch on our playing fields and new Science and Sixth Form facilities.

The Academy joined the Sapientia Education Trust (SET) in June 2020 which was an exciting and important development for the school. The SET are committed to bringing like-minded schools together to work in partnership to develop a world class education. This merger has multiple benefits in terms of teaching and learning and new opportunities for students and staff. Just before Easter 2023, we were delighted to announce that we had been awarded the World Class School Quality Mark which is a tribute to all in our community.

Excellent relationships between students and staff are at the heart of the ethos of the Academy and are often commented on by those who visit the school. Indeed, in our 2021 Ofsted Inspection, we were termed a ‘special place to be’. The Academy is a hardworking and caring community of people with high standards and high expectations. Our core values are Commitment, Acknowledgement, Respect and Excellence (CARE).
