The 16 to 19 Tuition Fund

Academic Year 2023-2024

In the 2023-2024 academic year, we did not receive 16-19 Tuition Funds. We have, however, continued to deliver the same small group English intervention, 1:1 mentoring and support and Higher Project support that has become part of our standard offer to our students.

Academic Years 2021-2022 and 2022-2023

Catch-up funding made available by the Government for both the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 academic years was issued to us to support students who required additional help to catch-up from lost learning time during the COVID pandemic. We used this funding, in accordance with the guidance from the Government, to support students who achieved below grade 5 in English and/or Maths at GCSE, or those from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. 

The additional support took the format of small group academic mentoring, additional English support with the Higher Project qualification and small group English intervention with a qualified English teacher already on the staff.
