Last month we had to say goodbye to Ritchie Davies after an incredible 46 years at the school. He joined in 1976 as a Technology teacher, who could also turn his hand to Maths and then became an IT teacher.

For the last 15 years, he has done an amazing job behind the scenes with the immensely complicated and demanding role of putting together the timetable. Until you have watched someone try to get 1,000 young people in front of the right teacher, doing the right subject in the right room, without any gaps or anyone having too many lessons, then you don’t know what complex is! Ritchie has dealt with all of this with extraordinary calmness and good nature.

We would like to thank him for his remarkable near half century of commitment to the Academy.
