GCSE Physical Geography Trip to Cromer
Posted on 1st Dec 2025On a rather wet and windy day , 96 Geography GCSE students set off to complete fieldwork on the beach at Cromer. On arrival the students headed for the beach with a number of ranging poles as well as other equipment as we made our way from the car park to the beach.
The day looked set to be damp with a light drizzle, but once we were on the beach we were sheltered from the wind and the drizzle stopped. We completed the rest of our tasks in fine but cloudy conditions with the students enjoying their packed lunches on the beach.
With the threat of further rain, we left a little earlier than planned with the students being able to enjoy the warmth of the classroom to write up all of the measurements and notes when we returned. A very enjoyable and productive day, ensuring that students experienced first hand the collection of primary data.
