The Year 12 students visited the University of Essex on Friday 10 October to allow them to have an overview of whay University entails, from the layout of a campus, the way lectures and seminars are delivered, the on-site facilities and, most importantly, which fast-food outlets deliver to the campus!

The students were given an introductory talk about university life and then took part in a choice of  three subject taster sessions: psychology, business and media studies. We were also given a tour of the campus, including the library and the gym, led by student union representatives. 

At the end of the day, the students attended a question and answer session with the student union representatives. The students had an enjoyable day and gained a rough idea of  what life as a university student could be like in a few years time.
