A chilly but fine day as two coaches headed off to four locations around the inner city of Norwich. Students then completed a transect of the city walking into the central business district. Along the way they collected data about land use, environmental quality and traffic counts. The experience gained will be invaluable in helping them to understand the purpose and challenges of fieldwork and to support their studies for paper 3 of the GCSE exam.
