Tate Modern

Posted on 12th Jan 2026

Fifty eight Photography and Art students from years 11- 13 visited the Tate Modern on 12 January . The trip was organised to allow students to see real art in a gallery space, and to inspire them for their exam projects.

Several of the students had visited Tate Modern before, so knew something of the variety of the work on display. This time the turbine hall had soundscapes piped in, giving it an interesting atmosphere.

Students were well behaved throughout, and most came back with ideas for how the artists they had seen could help develop their own work.
